DJ Special
DJ Special started out his musical career in 1987 as a DJ at the Record Shack and then years later as a strong member of Stone Jam Family.
He moved to the US in 1991 where he spent 10 dominant years in Los Angeles as the sole owner of Ruffcutt sound. In 2004 DJ Special returned to Belize and started working on a popular radio station, More FM, where he then became the founder and owner of Tagg international, one of the hottest sounds in Belize.
DJ Special has worked and promoted events, dances and concerts, all across the US and in Belize with the like of some of the biggest names in the entertainment business including, Beres Hammond, Luciano, Sizzla, Andy Palacio, Mohobub Flores, Chico Ramos, Berne, Collie Buddz, Sweet Tea, Bugle, Taurus Riley and more, both local & international.
DJ Special is one of only two DJ’s in the entire country of Belize to receive the prestigious Lord Rhaburn Musical Legends Award; he has also been awarded the Best Caribbean American DJ in 2003, and still remains one of the most dominant DJ’s and events promoters. He’s the cofounder of Elegance promotions and French Kiss inside Palm Island, one of the longest running night clubs in Belize.
DJ Special is still employed by RSV Ltd and works part-time for More FM, Love FM and Love TV.
